Trainpics: USA - Crawford Hill

The railway line from the northern exit of the Powder River Basin, one of the largest coal-mining areas of the world, to Alliance in Nebraska and the eastern USA sees a rather large number of freight trains every day. Not only there is roughly one coaltrain per hour in either direction, the line is used by several manifest trains per day, too. The most difficult, but also most interesting section of the line is Crawford Hill. Mountain railroading as you wouldn't expect it in the american midwest ...
